Event: Breaking Through Gridlock
EVENT TIME:
Thursday, February 28 2019
6 pm-viii:30 pm
Recall about the last time you tried to talk with someone almost politics or social problems who didn't already agree with y'all. How well did information technology go? Thought so.
That's why The Citizen is partnering with Civic Series for a special workshop on how to take hard (especially political) conversations with those you care about. Based onBreaking Through Gridlock: The Power of Conversation in a Polarized Earth, by Jason Jay and Gabriel Grant, the workshop will share clear-cut and actionable pathways for having hard conversations about issues that matter to yous.
Civic Series is a nonprofit that holds public events to help adults acquire and talk virtually the about critical issues of our time, similar North Korea, Israel-Palestine, racial tension in the U.S., and many others. The workshop will be led by Civic Series founder Laurs Hesse Fisher.
The upshot is free, just registration is required. Hang out after the event for drinks, snacks, and as few political food fights as possible.
